The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. I’ve always enjoyed this read-a-thon in the past, so I’m excited to do it again this summer! I haven’t figured out what my personal goals will be yet, but I’ll be posting them shortly before the event kicks off. There are over 200 participants, so clearly all the cool kids are doing it. Enjoy! I’ll be looking on from the sidelines, I think. I so wish I could join but unfortunately I just don’t have the time this year (something seems to come up each year and sadly I have never been able to join :/)
Aww, that’s too bad, but I do understand. This is a fairly low-effort read-a-thon, though, so don’t feel pressured to read a ton if you do feel like joining in!
