Tune in Tuesday with Katelyn: You can take all the things, the boxes and rings

Tune in Tuesday with Katelyn

I am one of those people who tend to dislike something automatically if it becomes too popular or trendy. Too much hype about something drives me crazy and makes me want to avoid it just out of spite. (I have still not read The Hunger Games because of this.) The band fun. is a perfect example: I think they are extremely overhyped, and I hate that lowercase F and the period at the end of their name! But at the same time, their songs are catchy, and I can’t help liking them despite myself! So for this week’s Tune in Tuesday, here is fun. with “All the Pretty Girls”:

I know exactly what you mean… I have plenty of “guilty pleasure” songs by bands that I have little to no respect for. And this song is a perfect example! I feel the same way about fun., but this song is definitely catchy. 🙂 Thanks for sharing it!

Ha! I’m exactly the same with books/movies/music. I read THG books before they were popular and loved them but refuse to see the movie because everyone keeps bugging me to see it lol

This is a cute song. I like fun. but haven’t listened to the whole CD yet.

I don’t even know which album this song is on…I only know the fun. songs that have played on my local radio stations.

But yeah, hype really turns me off! It took me FOREVER to read Harry Potter because everyone was raving about the series so much!

Yeah, I can be the same way, too. As far as the Hunger Games goes, I also read it before it was super popular. I grabbed the first one a week after it’s release, just one a whim… and the rest is book love history! I hope you’ll feel like reading it eventually, but I’m certainly not going to pressure you. lol

Thanks for sharing this song. I guess I must have skipped it or something, because I don’t remember it from the album. I was underwhelmed by it when I listened to the whole thing.

OH! I also forgot to link up my post, but here’s my Tune in Tuesday, too!

Good to know about the fun. album…not that I was planning to buy it, but I’m glad to have that decision validated! 🙂 I’ll probably get to THG eventually…maybe in 5 or 6 years when everyone else has calmed down!
